Kris comes to us as a Veterinary Technician with many years of experience in the Veterinary field, she makes it a personal goal to treat all the animals she cares for like family. Kris especially likes to comfort any animals that may feel nervous or scared when they are away from their own family. Her own dogs & cats are very much like children to her so she is able to truly understand how difficult it can be to leave your animals in someone else's care.
Casey is a Licensed Veterinary Technician that graduated from MSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and a Certificate in Veterinary Tech. She has a passion for helping and educating clients and providing exceptional care and compassion to all animals as if they were her own. Casey and her husband Warren currently share their house with an easy going boxer mix named Hank, Buddy a typical beagle, and head of the house Yoda the cat.
Michelle joined the team at Companion Animal Hospital as a receptionist in 2009. She has been working with animals since 2004, and has spent her whole life with pets as members of her family. She currently has five furry family members: two pugs, Kaiser and Reuben, one Chihuahua, Sweetie Pie and two Chinchillas, Miguel and Diego! In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Jason and "the kids", especially hiking, boating and kayaking.
Ryan and his family have been clients at CAH for many years. In helping take care of their two chocolate labs, Jackson and Rocky, he has decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Ryan is a 2011 graduate of Traverse City Central High School, currently attending Northwestern Michigan College in preparation for further schooling at Michigan State University, where he looks forward to attend its renowned Vet Tech program.
Allie joined the team at Companion Animal Hospital as a receptionist in May 2013. Allie has been a client here since she joined her grandfather and his dogs on visits to the vet as a child. Dr.Izo has told stories of encountering a very young Allie running down the driveway toward her with hopes of petting her dogs during a stroll around the neighborhood. Allie brings her enthusiasm and an overwhelming desire to work with animals to Companion Animal Hospital and in her opinion, "Animals add joy to life!" She has had several furry family members in the past, including dogs, guinea pigs, cats, turtles & horses but currently enjoys spending time with her best friend, a Beagle mix, Fudgie. Nothing makes her happier than “being around and caring for critters!”
Jeni began as Lead Receptionist in April of 2013 (the very day of our 11th Anniversary, in fact). Jeni boasts a background of nearly 20 years in Marketing and Communications, a strong knack for organization and a wackiness our office enjoys daily (she's been skipping down the back hall). She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and three cats Calvin, Maverick and Toby. Jeni recently moved to Northern Michigan from downstate and loves exploring the area and gardening. Jeni's creativity and experience is expected to bring exciting new forms of communication to our clients along with plenty of smiles at the reception desk.
Kristin and her family moved to Traverse City from Maine for the United States Coast Guard. Her family of four including her husband Josh and two children Emma and Ethan has grown to a full family of eight including Autumn a Pitbull mix, Milo a Jack Russell, and two Dumbo rats Lester and Little B since she moved to Traverse City. She brings to our team a veterinary passion of over 16 years experience ranging from kennel assistant to head receptionist. She has developed many long lasting relationships with clients and their pets in her travels with the US Coast Guard. She looks forward to making more at Companion Animal Hospital.
Cyndi has a background in (human) nursing. She has been a nurse at Munson Medical Center for 22 years and has worked in many capacities at the hospital. Cyndi currently has two cats and has kind of adopted her friend's dogs! She has a love for all animals saying that they are like humans with fur!! Cyndi feels blessed that she is able to combine her talents and care for animals too "I think every creature deserves to be treated with kindness and compassion!" At Companion Animal Hospital she is a TLC Nurse on surgery days, helping the animals as they wake up after anesthesia. It is Cyndi's goal to comfort and help ease the fear of every animal she takes care of!
Terry Seymour is Companion Animal Hospital's practice manager. For over 35 years Terry has been a part of veterinary medicine. He is a life long animal lover. Even through Terry's fairly severe allergies, they have always had very special pets. Sally and Pita, their Golden Retrievers are currently holding the fort down in their household. After a successful sales and management career in another field Terry joined Companion Animal Hospital in 2003. We all look forward to seeing you and your pets and welcoming you into our practice!
