Special Announcement

COVID-19 Update June 2021:

Starting June 14, 2021, we will begin to allow clients into the building on a limited basis for the first time in over a year! We miss in-person interaction with you all and are excited to reconnect. Below is a list of guidelines as we slowly transition back to (hopefully) “normal” operations over the summer.

  1. The following brief appointments will remain curbside for the time being and until further notice: All technician appointments including laser therapy, nail trims, anal gland expressions, technician vaccine boosters and blood draws, routine surgical or daycare check-ins.
  2. All medication and food pick-ups and patient discharges will remain curbside. Please remember to call ahead with a refill request at least 24 hours in advance. If approved, simply call when you arrive for pick up and we will deliver your pet and/or their medications to your vehicle in the parking lot.
  3. All appointments with a doctor can be in-person if you choose. However, curbside service is still a choice for any doctor appointment if you prefer for any reason. Simply let us know when you make your appointment rather you prefer in-person or curbside.
  4. Client Responsibilities for in-person doctor appointments:
    1. Please call upon your arrival in our parking lot and remain in your vehicle. As soon as possible a staff member will escort you into the building through the Entrance door and directly into an exam room. Any person entering our building MUST wear a mask and remain masked while inside regardless of vaccination status. All our staff will be masked throughout your visit as well. If you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask throughout your visit, we will offer curbside service instead.
    2. Due to the size of our exam rooms, we are only allowing 1 adult into the building for appointments. Other family or friends can wait in the car, or if they cannot be left alone or unsupervised in the parking lot because of age, etc. we will offer curbside service for the appointment.
    3. We ask that you remain seated in the exam room throughout your appointment and wait to be directed to the front desk for payment or we can collect payment in the room if you prefer. Afterwards, we will escort you out to the parking lot via the Exit door. This is to limit congestion in the Lobby and at the reception desk for everyone’s safety.
    4. We will of course continue our current policy of sanitizing door handles, seating, exam tables, etc. between patients. All our staff will remain masked and may wear gloves.

Thank you for your continued patience, support and understanding during the very difficult past 15 months. We hope to gradually lift restrictions over the course of the summer if this process goes smoothly, and of course pending any resurgence of Covid-19 in our area. We look forward to welcoming you all back in once it is safe to do so!

What our Clients are Saying

Since Dr. Lynch's return to practice, my Senior dog's problem of many years has improved tremendously with VOM, Acupuncture/Acupressure and Chinese herbs. Dr. Lynch's ability to assess the symptoms and zero in on an effective treatment was remarkable. I am thrilled to have these alternative veterinary services available in Traverse City.

I would highly recommend Dr. Lynch for treatment. The acupuncture treatments that he has done for my cat, Maxx, have done a world of good. It has made a huge difference and the effects from the treatments have been immediate for Maxx. It is so nice to have this treatment option available.

We have been taking our two cats and one dog to Dr. Izo for many years. She is an excellent, caring and down to earth person, who is a remarkable at what she does and the care she provides. The entire staff at CAHTC is great to deal with and they truly have your pet's best interest at heart.

Thanks to the entire staff of Companion Animal Hospital for tirelessly working with me to assist my dog with her fear of nail cutting! She is now able to have this procedure without any fears or resistance! Additionally the wellness care and the sincere interest in her from the staff is so nice. Always pleasant and professional the Doctors and staff are above average. I recommend this Animal Hospital to all my friends and co-workers and many now use them with the same satisfaction.
