COVID-19 Information and Precautions

Due to the evolving situation with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Companion Animal Hospital is taking additional precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our clients, pets, and the people who care for them. It is determined that we ARE AN ESSENTIAL service business and we WILL remain open for you and your furry family member’s health needs – with some recommendations and changes from our normal procedures.

You can CLICK HERE to find an excellent article put out by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) on how your pets fit into this pandemic. Please take some time to read this information on how we’re preparing:

  • Because we know you count on us, our clinic is operating during our normal working hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. Non-essential services will be postponed until further notice. Please call with any questions.
  • Health and safety are our top priority. We are taking care of our staff members so they can take care of you. This includes allowing time off to our staff members affected by illness, so nobody must come to work sick. So far, thankfully, we have not had any employees get ill.
  • We are making sure our practice is safe for you, your pets, and our staff members. We are doing this by extra daily cleaning with medical grade viricides to give you the safest environment and to ensure our staff members are healthy and there to help you.
  • If you have an appointment and are feeling under the weather, please do not hesitate to call and reschedule your appointment. We would be happy to help you.
  • To avoid an increase risk of exposure, Curbside Service is Mandatory at this time. Upon arrival, please call us and let us know that you have arrived. A hospital representative will meet you in the parking lot, receive your pet, and bring into the hospital for services. While you wait in your vehicle, your pet’s exam will be completed and the doctor will contact you over the phone to discuss findings and a treatment plan.

If you are seeking more information and health guidance regarding COVID-19, please visit the CDC or WHO websites. For specific veterinary related questions, please contact us at 231-935–1511.

What our Clients are Saying

Since Dr. Lynch's return to practice, my Senior dog's problem of many years has improved tremendously with VOM, Acupuncture/Acupressure and Chinese herbs. Dr. Lynch's ability to assess the symptoms and zero in on an effective treatment was remarkable. I am thrilled to have these alternative veterinary services available in Traverse City.

I would highly recommend Dr. Lynch for treatment. The acupuncture treatments that he has done for my cat, Maxx, have done a world of good. It has made a huge difference and the effects from the treatments have been immediate for Maxx. It is so nice to have this treatment option available.

We have been taking our two cats and one dog to Dr. Izo for many years. She is an excellent, caring and down to earth person, who is a remarkable at what she does and the care she provides. The entire staff at CAHTC is great to deal with and they truly have your pet's best interest at heart.

Thanks to the entire staff of Companion Animal Hospital for tirelessly working with me to assist my dog with her fear of nail cutting! She is now able to have this procedure without any fears or resistance! Additionally the wellness care and the sincere interest in her from the staff is so nice. Always pleasant and professional the Doctors and staff are above average. I recommend this Animal Hospital to all my friends and co-workers and many now use them with the same satisfaction.
